DANVILLE -- Firefighters are staying busy. They've fought seven building fires in eleven days. Investigators don't believe the fires are related.

In addition to being tired, firefighters are concerned about their jobs. Next week the city council will vote to add a tax to pay for upgrades to the department, or look at layoffs.

It leaves firefighters unsure about the future. Last year, the department fought 65 building fires; the most in the area.
