At Thomas Jefferson Middle School, Matt Grossman says his kids weren't getting the help with homework they needed. As a concerned teacher, he decided to do something about it.
In January, he started recording videos and uploading them to Google Drive. Students can open a link to the video using an app on their cellphones or they can go to his website online. When the kids are at home, they simply click the link and he introduces them to new material.
The next day at school, they complete the homework assignments which go along with it. It's starting to pay off.
Grossman got the idea from a conference he attended. He hasn't gotten much feedback from parents since it's still early, but he's seeing changes in his kids and that's all he can ask for.
