RANTOUL, Ill. (WCIA) -- A former UI football player is helping dozens of athletes have second chances at success.
Marques Sullivan runs Midwest Prep Academy. It's for student-athletes who have graduated high school, but might need another year to develop before moving on to college.
It's held on the site of the former Camp Rantoul and helps with academics as well as athletics. Right now, it's only open to football players, but it's adding men's basketball next year and softball in 2019.
Sullivan says 85% of athletes participating earn some form of college scholarship.
