CHAMPAIGN -- You can watch live coverage of NASA's "Curiosity" Mars rover landing on one of the biggest screens in town. Parkland College is hosting a free live viewing of the event Sunday.

Curiosity was launched by NASA Mars Science Laboratory on November 26, 2011. It's mission is to determine whether Mars ever had an environment capable of supporting microbial life and where signs of such a life-supporting environment could be found in the future.

The landing is scheduled for 12:31 am CDT. Seating is first-come, first-served. Donations to support the planetarium's programming will be accepted.
