Gas tax goes to fix city roads

URBANA -- The City of Urbana plans on resurfacing several of its roads this fall. Some of those streets, like the intersection of Washington Street and Broadway Avenue are old.

It's bumpy and has potholes. The gas tax increase will help pay to fix that.

The increase was an extra four cents for every gallon, and it's expected to raise around $700,000 for Urbana's road projects.
Those projects are set to start in the fall.
