CHAMPAIGN -- A Girl Scout Troop is making green by being green. Brownies at Bottenfield Elementary are Taking Action.

They started a recycling program. The girls are collecting old phones, chargers and ink cartridges.

Once they have enough, they exchange the old electronics for money to go toward new playground equipment for the school. Troop moms say the girls are learning a valuable lesson.
