ILLINOIS -- The governor has a big decision to make. He's been asked to pardon Randy Steidl.

Attorneys for the Center for Wrongful Convictions sent the governor a letter. The Edgar County man was wrongfully convicted of a double murder. He spent 17-years in prison before being released in 2009.

Earlier this year, Steidl was awarded $6-million in a civil suit. Former governors Ryan and Blagojevich refused to pardon him.
