RANTOUL -- Governor Quinn couldn't escape questions about the state's budget. His $34.5 billion plan was shot down. Only 5 people voted for it; 107 said no.

No one expected it to pass. The governor wants to keep the temporary tax increase at 5%, but he says he's open to negotiating. A budget must be passed by May 31.
