HOOPESTON -- A group is taking the next step to reopen an historic theater. The "Save the Lorraine Foundation" acquired the deed to remodel and reopen the Lorraine Theater last month.

Since then, one of the theaters, the "Little Lorraine," has begun showing movies on weekends. Now the group is raising money to reopen the larger theater.

The group is holding a meeting Monday night to discuss further fundraising efforts:

HOOPESTON -- An historic theater is another step closer to a new life. A group wants to remodel and reopen the Lorraine Theater. It includes the original theater built in 1922 and a smaller one known as the "Little Lorraine."

The Save the Lorraine Foundation now has the deeds to both theaters. Members hope to have the smaller one open next week and will keep raising money for the other.
