OAKWOOD -- A group is concerned about pollution in the Middle Fork River. Prairie Rivers Network says Dynegy Vermilion closed, but left behind three toxic ash pits.

The network says two of them are failing and releasing harmful pollution. Advocates say the ash dumps should never have been built next to the river.

The group has contacted the governor's office. It wants someone to step in to make sure the pits are properly taken care of.
