CHAMPAIGN -- Habitat for Humanity wants to do more in town and leaders hope a trip to Capitol Hill will help. The goal this year is to build eight houses; one more than last year.

But Habitat for Humanity says it needs funding and laws which work with its non-profit needs.

Sheila Dodd is the executive director. She says she hopes to be a voice for the effort and stress the importance of affordable housing. Dodd leaves Sunday and returns Friday.
