UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- While some are taking advantage of the weather by being outside, others are spending their entire weekend in front of a computer screen. College and high school students will spend 36 hours straight at UI for Hack Illinois.

Students will build apps, write programs and create other tech devices, but the director wants to make it clear hacking isn't necessarily a bad thing. About 750 students showed up for Hack Illinois from more than a dozen colleges around the country.
