ILLINOIS - ILLINOIS -- If you're insured by the state, you will see a spike in your hospital bills.
This was expected after many clinics and doctors' offices say they are owed millions of dollars in unpaid health insurance claims. It's because the state is still without a budget.
Springfield Clinic is owed more than $70 million. The clinic and others are issuing statements to patients asking for a deductible, co-pay or other reimbursement for services received for a visit.
Officials say there won't be a solution until a budget is finalized.
