CHARLESTON -- A man wanted for a hit-and-run accident turned himself into police Friday. Authorities say witness descriptions and video surveillance helped them identify Austin Seaver, of Lombard, as the driver responsible for hitting a pedestrian who was crossing Lincoln Avenue on Wednesday, September 11.

He's scheduled to be arraigned on a class 2 felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury. The victim was taken to the hospital where he underwent two surgeries for severe injuries to his lower extremities. Officials say he may face more surgeries in the future.
