SPRINGFIELD -- It's the unofficial end of summer and it means a lot of people are headed out of town for the long weekend. It could be easier for drivers this year since gas prices are down about $0.25 in our area compared to Labor Day weekend last year.

Prices spiked a little the last week, though. Experts say it's because of uncertainly with Syria, but that's not stopping people from getting out for one last fling.

AAA says it expects a record number of travelers out on the roads, not only because of lower gas prices, but also because of a better economy.
