SPRINGFIELD -- House Speaker Michael Madigan will be investigated by the Legislative Ethics Commission. The bipartisan commission voted Thursday to look into whether he and two other democratic state representatives interfered with Metra personnel matters.

Madigan encourages the group to investigate his involvement in supporting a Metra supervisor's recommendation to give an employee a pay boost. He says hasn't done anything wrong.

Possible sanctions could include a $5,000 fine for the lawmakers if found guilty.
