Human remains found at home

MCLEAN COUNTY -- DNA testing confirms the remains found in McLean County belong to a Woodford County man. Last week, a torso was found in the Mackinaw River. The coroner identified it as 74-year old Oakley Mitchell.

Two people were arrested in connection with his death. Police are still working to confirm whether remains found in a Woodford County home also belong to Mitchell.

MCLEAN COUNTY -- A tip leads to the arrests of two people wanted in connected to a murder. Vishawn Mills is accused of killing 74-year old Oakey Mitchell. Rayshawn Johnson was arrested for helping conceal the crime.

Parts of Mitchell's body were found in the Mackinaw River. A passerby told police about a suspicious car he saw near the river. That tip led police to the suspects.

WOODFORD COUNTY -- Human remains found at a home could have a connection to a missing person case. A torso was recently found in McLean County. A fisherman found it in the Mackinaw River. Autopsy results determined the person was murdered.

Now, coroners from both Woodford and McLean counties are trying to determine if there's a connection between the two incidents. The body parts could belong to a missing Woodford County man, 74-year old Oakley Mitchell. The remains were sent for DNA testing.
