SPRINGFIELD -- Washington Community High School football players and fans will get a warm welcome here Saturday. Not only will their rival, Sacred Heart-Griffin High School, bus them to and from the game, donate cases of water and serve them dinner, but the semifinal playoff game will be broadcast on statewide TV.

The IHSA hopes televising the game will raise awareness and relief for Washington and other towns hit by tornadoes last weekend. IHSA will donate $1 to the American Red Cross for each ticket sold at the game. The big event will air on WCIX, Saturday, 1 pm.
