Illinois Comptroller to help non-profits

SPRINGFIELD-- Non-profits around Illinois are struggling to make ends meet. The state owes many of them millions of dollars in payments.

Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka hopes to offer some relief. Her office is making social service agencies a top priority.

She held a news conference Wednesday to discuss the list of vendors who will be paid first. She says she doesn't want to see any organization shut down.
