CHAMPAIGN-URBANA -- Dozens of volunteers will make sure streets are cleared of trash long after the last runners cross the finish line.
Students from University High School went through the course mile by mile, picking up cups and trash.
"Because it's part of the community," said one volunteer, "Uni is community. We're just so proud to be part of the marathon and keep the streets really clean."
Volunteers say the Uni cleanup has become a tradition as a way of giving back.
