VERMILION COUNTY -- An Indiana man may be connected to a couple crimes in Hoopeston. Investigators say Carlos Suarez faces weapons charges.

Hoopeston's police chief says he's also a suspect in a shooting at the downtown motel last month. 40-year old Bruce Eldridge was killed. An investigation revealed he may not have been the target.

The chief says murder charges aren't in the works yet, but the case is still under investigation.
