Jail study to cost more and take longer

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- A study of the county corrections system will take longer and cost more than expected. The study is being done by a firm in Berkley, CA. It will include recommendations by a community justice task force.

The study was originally set to cost $120,000. The county board says integrating the results is causing a delay which will cost an additional $25,000 and bringing the total to $145,000. The board will have the results in September.
