Job growth in state not noteworthy

NATIONAL -- Since the recession several years ago, job creation in the state ranks near the bottom. According to government data, Illinois ranks 42nd. In June of 2009, Illinois had 5.64 million jobs. It was up to 5.81 million in June 2014, up just 3%. North Dakota leads the way with a 27% increase. The U.S. as a whole has a growth rate of 6%.
