He was put in service in August of 2012. His handler is Deputy Sheriff Steve Spurgeon who's been with the department since July 2007.
"Bo" is a "passive alert" and patrol/narcotic-detector dog. Full-service dogs include bite training, and by nature, are more aggressive. Bo's status allowed for reduced training time, lower initial cost and lower premiums for liability insurance.
