CHAMPAIGN -- Winning regionals was an excitement driving these Kids to Know all the way to nationals. One of the science bowl teams from Next Generation is on a roll. It cruised past the competition at ISU last week and qualified to represent Illinois in Washington, D.C.

The five-member team answered questions about all things science and math. Sometimes they only had five seconds to come up with the right answer. It's the first time Next Generation put together teams for the competition.

The team captain says the key to their success is their variety of strengths. The team is excited to go to D.C. at the end of April. They want to win, but say they're really just looking forward to having fun and meeting other kids.
