MONTICELLO -- A woman who's been knitting since she was a little girl is putting her skills to good use. Charlene Downey has knitted so many scarves, it's hard to keep county.

She started selling them to raise money. Proceeds go to breast cancer patients in Monticello. She's also taught nurses at the Piatt County Nursing Home tricks of the trade.

Their goal was to raise $1,000 and they're proud they met that goal. The pink scarves are $12 each and can be purchased at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
