CHAMPAIGN -- Members of a senate committee listened to some of President Obama's supporters Tuesday afternoon, but other congressmen aren't even in Washington. Republican Representative Rodney Davis is from Illinois' 13th District and plans to return to the capitol next week.

Davis says he doesn't support the President's plan because it's too "open-ended." He says it leaves too many unanswered questions.

Democratic Senator Dick Durbin says he's open to debate the issue if it would discourage Syria's leaders from using chemical weapons. Technically, President Obama doesn't need Congress' approval to launch an attack.
