MATTOON -- A teacher is being honored for getting her community's noses in the books. Anieta Trame is a librarian at the middle school. She started "Ready to Read Across Mattoon."

Trame was named Educator of the Year by the Illinois Reading Council for her work. Trame and her students take books to different businesses.

So far, this year, 1,000 books have been spread across town. It's the second year in a row a teacher from Mattoon won the award.
