SPRINGFIELD -- Monday is the 148th anniversary of President Lincoln's assassination. He was shot and killed by John Wilkes Booth in 1865. Lincoln's body is buried at a tomb in Springfield.

Many stopped by the site to pay tribute including a foreign exchange student from Brazil. He says he's learned a lot about Lincoln during his time in the U.S. Lincoln is buried alongside his wife, Mary, and three of their sons.
