CHAMPAIGN -- Wednesday, one of WCIA-3's very own was honored in a big way. Judy Fraser and Jim Turpin were named Pioneers in Broadcasting.

It's an award from the Illinois Broadcasters' Association. Judy was a weather person here at WCIA-3 and a viewer favorite for many. She's known for her Woolie Worm Forecast and Hootie Hoo Days.

Turpin is a local radio host known as the Voice of the Illini for many years. You can still catch him on WDWS on Penny for Your Thoughts.
