CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- The county is making more money thanks to tourists. The Illinois Office of Tourism says travel has brought in an extra $15 million the past three years.

Visit Champaign County says it's reached a milestone. It's seen an increase in jobs related to travel. The University of Illinois brings in conventions and research opportunities. They also say county events draw people to the area.

The results are from the 2013 fiscal year. The money is spent in hotel, restaurants and shops.
