Local filmmaker nominated for award

DANVILLE -- A local man is hitting the big time. Mike Boedicker directed the film, House of Thaddeus.

It's been chosen for the Beloit International Film Festival in Southern Wisconsin. It's in the running for "Achievement in Filmmaking." It was shot mostly in Danville.

It follows a couple who bought a house with a dark past. Boedicker's film was chosen from more than 600 submissions. The festival starts February 14.
