CHICAGO -- The Champaign Police Department helped officers in Chicago find a man they say murdered someone. Tyneil Washington was taken into custody in Chicago and charged with first degree murder. Police say he shot and killed a 66-year old man during an attempted robbery on March 1.

Chicago police sent out fliers to departments all over the Midwest with a sketch of Washington. They say officers here gave them the information they needed to identify and locate him.
