URBANA -- A judge ruled a son was not guilty of killing his mother even though he admitted doing it. Terry Brownlee stabbed his mother to death and set their home on fire last spring.

But, a judge ruled he suffered from a mental disorder during the crime and didn't understand what he was doing; making him not guilty by reason of insanity. He'll be evaluated and receive medical treatment. A review hearing is scheduled for March.
