Mayor arrested for violating order of protection

CHRISTIAN COUNTY -- Illinois State Police arrested the mayor of Kincaid for violating an order of protection. Authorities say Douglas Thomas, 48, contacted a 17-year old male acquaintance who was the subject of the order.

When Thomas was arrested, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance which is a class 4 felony. Bond will be set by the Christian County State's Attorney.
