CHAMPAIGN -- Police officers were hard at work today, but it's not the job you'd expect to see them doing. County deputies and city officers spent the afternoon waiting tables at Texas Roadhouse.

They served lunch and refilled drinks. The food was free, but donations were accepted.

All the money raised went towards the Illinois Special Olympics. More than 550-plates of food were served and more than $5,200 was raised.
