ILLINOIS - ILLINOIS -- With cold and flu season upon us, the Illinois Poison Center is reminding people to be careful when giving children medicine. Last year, they saw more than 8,000 cases of improper medication incidents.
Doctors also warn caregivers and parents, even a little too much medication can cause severe toxicity. To help prevent these incidents, medical professionals say one rule is, if you have a question, don't hesitate to call.
Another rule to follow is to make sure to finish all antibiotics, even if you start feeling better.
