MONTICELLO -- Friends and family are remembering Chelsea Schofield. She was killed in a car accident in Seymour in May. Since she and her family were musicians, friends held a benefit concert in her honor.
It was a way for them to celebrate her life. The money raised will go to a scholarship fund named in her honor to help kids get to Camp CILCA, where Chelsea worked in the summer.
CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- A Monticello teenager died in a car crash. It happened Tuesday night in rural Seymour. Police say 18-year old Chelsea Schofield lost control of her car. It went off the road and hit a utility pole. Schofield graduated from Monticello High School last year.
