CHAMPAIGN -- Students at Centennial High School are giving kids on the other side of the world a piece of home. Art students are taking part in the Memory Project. They're paired with orphaned kids in Mexico.

They're drawing the children's portraits to give them a personal keepsake many don't have. The drawings will be finished and sent at the end of the month.

The kids receiving the portraits will be recorded on tape. The video will be sent to Centennial before graduation so the artists can see the smiles they put on the kids' faces.
