CHAMPAIGN -- With every mile they drive, some volunteers are saving the lives of dogs.

This past weekend, Mobile Mutts celebrated a milestone. Two years ago the headquarters was moved to Champaign and ever since, volunteers spend every weekend rescuing dogs from death row.  This past weekend they transported their 2,000th dog to freedom.

Mobile Mutts volunteers pay for every transport out of their own pockets. They are holding a fundraiser on June 22nd at Clark Bar in Champaign.  It's called Yappy Hour and will feature live entertainment, a silent auction and a mutt strut.
