CHAMPAIGN -- Some kids are probably reliving memories after a field trip. About 20-fifth graders from Robeson Elementary School returned from the Museum of Science and Industry, in Chicago.

What made the field trip different? It was organized by a parent. A mom was upset the kids weren't getting the chance to go to Chicago. Teachers told her it was because there were discipline problems with a group of kids and it wasn't safe to go that far.

So, the mom took matters into her own hands. Students who went say, for some, it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip. The mom paid for the bus, museum tickets and lunch.

Other students who didn't go to Chicago went to the Chanute Aerospace Museum, in Rantoul.
