MAHOMET -- Friday Football Fever is back. WCIA-3 crews will be making stops at 18 games Friday night. Look for all the action at 10 pm.

One game we're keeping a close on is our Spotlight Match-up Between Mahomet-Seymour and Mt. Zion. It's hard to believe, but we're less than two hours away from the start of the 2014 high school football season. Here in Mahomet, we've got a great Week One match-up between the Bulldogs and Braves.

Mahomet-Seymour beat Mt. Zion 41 - 14 last season. The two teams have been playing each other in Week One for the last four years. The Bulldogs have beaten the Braves every time.

But, second year Mt. Zion Coach Mike Popovich says this could be the year the Braves change that trend. The Braves are looking to get back in the playoffs for the first time since 2011.

Here's a few of the other games we're watching: The defending state runner-up in 3A, SJO is hosting PBL; the Spartans are the top-ranked team in the state. The second ranked team in 3A is Unity; the Rockets are at St. Teresa. Westville visits Tuscola; Centennial is at Morton and Central is hosting Marion. Should be a great night for some football.
