URBANA -- Champaign police have also enlisted the help of other agencies to investigate the recent shootings. It includes Urbana and UI police.

Officers say criminals don't worry about city boundaries when they commit crimes, so it's important for investigators to work together and share information when they can. It could be with official meetings, or just keeping in touch when they hear something.

The Champaign County Sheriff's Department, Danville police, Drug Enforcement Administration, FBI, and U.S. Marshals are all involved in the investigation and search for suspects.
