Murderer sentenced to 65 years

CHAMPAIGN -- The man behind a mother's death will spend 65 years in prison. Thursday, Treshaun Jake was sentenced for first degree murder.

He was found guilty of killing Desirae Austin. She was shot in the crossfire of two gangs in July 2012. Witnesses testified Jake had a gun at the time and place of the shooting.

Anthony Meads was also convicted in the case and sentenced to 50 years in August.
