CHICAGO -- A new runway opened for business at O'Hare International Airport Thursday. The extra-wide landing strip is expected to help the airport cut down on delays.

It will also boost the number of arrival flights each hour by at least 25%. The jumbo runway is the only one at O'Hare to accommodate the largest commercial planes like the Airbus A-380.
