No vaccine for virus spread by mosquitoes

NATIONAL -- Mosquitoes carrying a virus from the Caribbean through the U.S. have made it to Illinois. 27 states have seen chikungunya. The two latest cases are in Florida.The virus is not usually deadly.

Symptoms include fever and joint pain as well as muscle aches, headaches, joint swelling and rash. Typically, people are better after a week, but sometimes symptoms can last for weeks or months. There is no vaccine, but several are currently being developed.
