DECATUR -- A big surprise for a man accused of breaking into a truck. But, there's a twist to how he was captured.

The officer who caught 40-year old Jason Smith was off-duty. He was just walking out of a building on Saturday when he spotted Smith.

The officer saw him trying to hide a GPS system in his pants and thought it was suspicious. Police say it turns out Smith stole the unit from an unlocked construction truck. Smith also had a warrant for his arrest and was found with a switchblade in his possession.
