NORMAL -- A man accused of robbing a grocery store is recovering after being shot by a police officer. Authorities say Jason Reeves robbed a Kroger three times in two months. He's also charged with aggravated assault for the latest robbery.

Police say an off-duty officer shot Reeves multiple times thinking he was holding a handgun. It turned out to be an air pistol. The officer will not be charged.
