SPRINGFIELD -- Business at this Central Illinois ice skating rink is heating up. The Nelson Center says calls for lessons have been pouring in since Saturday night.

That's when Gracie Gold won the U.S. Figure Skating Championship, earning her a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team. Gold spent a few years training in the area. Her former coach, Toni Hickey, says she couldn't be prouder of the Olympian, but she says she isn't surprised.

Gold isn't the only figure skater who will be representing Illinois in Sochi, Japan. Jason Brown, of the Chicago suburbs, will be skating for the men's team.
