CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- One kid in Central Illinois is the official super-fan of a children's book series.
The author of Harry Moon met Caiden Riecks of Paxton last year and knew right away- this is who he wanted to represent his books. When he first read the book he emailed the author to ask him a question about it and the author emailed back asking Caiden to represent his book series as the official super-fan. Of course, his answer was an overwhelming YES.
They follow the tale of a young boys life and show how to overcome evil with a little bit of practical magic. Riecks says that's what he loves most about them.
"I think other kids should read them because they teach you tons of things and it'll make you more respectful. I just like the mystery part of it. It leaves you with something you really want to read."
Paxton is getting in on the fun as well. The author will be in town for a book signing on Saturday.
